About this project

"The Ego And Its Own" by philosopher Max Stirner was published in 1844. It's about responsibility. Idée fixe like humanity, politics, or religion bar the way of the individual, that takes responsibility for his body, his character, his actions, and makes them his Own, his property. Property can not be given to the individuum. To own it, it has to seize the property. What it does not own, what hence owns it, are spirits.

»Der Einzige 2.0« is a translation project. The original German text will be shortened and transformed to modern diction. The goal is to make Stirners work easier and faster to read. Along with the original full text and the community effort of the translation, also English, French, Spanish, and Italian versions are provided.
